A successful Women’s Health, Awareness, and Rights Program was organized under the initiative of Mainia Youth Forum in Jatrabari, Dhaka Metropolitan South. In this campaign, the elimination of child marriage, women’s health awareness, and the benefits and disadvantages of using sanitary pads were discussed.
Mohammad Zahid Hossain Shyamal, Central Publicity Secretary, was present as the chief guest of the program. Taiyab Ali Bhandari, president of Anjumane Rahmania Mainia Maizbhandaria, was present. Maksuda Begum, a health worker, and middle-aged and teenage women of various categories of the area were present at the program.
The awareness campaign concluded successfully with the participation of around 30 women, including adolescents, students, and middle-aged professionals. Through open discussions and community engagement, the program reinforced the importance of women’s education, social dignity, economic empowerment, and equal rights.
